In short: you buy a self-help pack (a guide, letter templates and reminder emails) that is the same for everyone. You use it and send everything yourself. We do not give legal advice, look at your case or act for you, and we cannot promise any result. You can have a full refund within 30 days.

1. Who we are

Cifas Appeal is an independent self-help service. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to Cifas, any bank or the Financial Ombudsman Service. The pack is general information, not legal or financial advice.

2. Buying the pack

We sell the pack to you. Payment is taken by Stripe, our payment provider, on a secure Stripe page. Prices are in pounds and include UK VAT. You get a receipt from Stripe by email. The contract is made when your payment goes through.

Because the pack is digital content you get straight away, you ask at checkout for access to start at once and accept that your legal 14-day right to cancel ends when you open it. Our 30-day money-back guarantee (section 6) still applies.

3. What you get

The Full pack (£39) contains a guide to challenging a Cifas marker with a worked example, eight letter templates, checklists for each step, an Ombudsman checklist and reminder emails for 12 months from purchase. The Complete pack (£59) adds guides and templates on data rights, on replying to an Ombudsman investigator and on what to do after removal, and reminder emails for 24 months. Prices are in pounds and include VAT.

You get a private link to the pack straight after payment, on screen and by email. The link works for the reminder period and 30 days after it. Download the Word files or print the pack to keep a copy.

4. What we do not do

The pack is general information about a public process, the same for every buyer. Using it and what you send is your decision and your responsibility. If your situation is complex, or police are involved, speak to a solicitor or a free advice service such as Citizens Advice.

5. Reminders

Reminder emails are based only on the dates you enter. They say when an answer or deadline is usually due and what usually comes next. They do not look at your case. Check the dates in letters you receive yourself: official deadlines run from those letters, not from our emails. You can switch reminders off at any time in your pack.

6. Refunds

You can ask for a full refund within 30 days of purchase, for any reason, by writing to [email protected] from the email address you used to buy. We refund the full amount through Stripe to the card or wallet you paid with. After a refund the pack link and reminders stop. This is in addition to your rights under the law.

7. Using the pack

The pack is for your own use. You may copy and change the templates for your own letters. You may not resell, publish or share the pack or your link.

8. Accuracy

We check the pack against official sources (Cifas, the Financial Ombudsman Service, the ICO and the law) and date each check. Rules and procedures can change. If you spot something out of date, tell us and we will fix it.

9. Our liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law. Otherwise, because the pack is general information and we have no part in your case, we are not liable for the outcome of your complaint or for losses that come from decisions made by you, your bank, Cifas or the Ombudsman. Our total liability is limited to the price you paid.

10. Law and complaints

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you can also bring a claim in your local courts, and you keep the protection of the consumer laws where you live.
